SCRUFF Makes Difference In Lives of 471 Cats
As 2025 is quickly coming to an end, SCRUFF is proud to announce we made a difference in the lives of 471 cats. We are extremely grateful for our dedicated team of volunteers who show up month after month, including our veterinarians, vet technicians, cat trappers and transporters, and of course our Board of Directors who work behind the scenes to keep our vision alive. Special acknowledgment to the compassionate people who show love and care to outdoor cats… including YOU! In the words by the late and great anthropologist Margaret Mead: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” Enjoy this time with your loved ones and know you can make an important difference in the lives of countless outdoor cats. We look forward to 2026 and welcome anyone who wants to join our team.
September Spay Day Statistics
SCRUFF is very pleased to report that our September Spay Day was a major success! We had 47 patients. Of them 24 were males and 21 were females. We are extremely pleased to say that all of them came through their procedures perfectly. As usual, we extend out thanks to the Animal Protective Foundation (APF) for their teamwork. Without them we could not do what we do. SCRUFF conducts monthly spay day clinics at the Animal Protective Foundation (APF) at 53 Maple Ave, Schenectady, NY. Our next Spay Day is October 25. Donor Appreciation Meet & Greet 2025
Glennpeter Diamond Center in Albany, NY hosted our Donor Meet & Greet event on June 19,2025. Our friends at Glennpeter welcomed the SCRUFF donors and volunteers, and treated us to an exciting evening at their location 1544 Central Avenue. SCRUFF relies on donors and volunteers to manage and operate our Spay Days and other activities. This evening was an opportunity to thank all those who make SCRUFF the success that it is.
