SCRUFF Makes Difference In Lives of 471 Cats

As 2025 is quickly coming to an end, SCRUFF is proud to announce we made a difference in the lives of 471 cats. We are extremely grateful for our dedicated team of volunteers who show up month after month, including our veterinarians, vet technicians, cat trappers and transporters, and of course our Board of Directors who work behind the scenes to keep our vision alive. Special acknowledgment to the compassionate people who show love and care to outdoor cats… including YOU! In the words by the late and great anthropologist Margaret Mead: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” Enjoy this time with your loved ones and know you can make an important difference in the lives of countless outdoor cats. We look forward to 2026 and welcome anyone who wants to join our team.

Another November Patient

Here is another one of SCRUFF’s patients at our November 9, 2025 Spay Day at the Animal Protective Foundation (APF) at 53 Maple Ave in Schenectady. On that day we hosted 37 cats for Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR), which is a humane strategy for reducing the number of feral and stray “community cats” and improving the quality of life for cats, wildlife, and people. One of Our November 9 Patients

We thought you might like to see one of our 37 patients that came to us for SCRUFF’s November 9, 2025 Spay Day. This feral feline attended our Spay Day clinic at the Animal Protective Foundation (APF) at 53 Maple Ave, Schenectady. We will be announcing our 2026 Spay Day schedule in early next year. Stay tuned!
